The American west has a lot of amazing vistas and wildlife that can be relatively easy to access. From the stark beauty of the desert southwest to the rugged wildness of the Rocky Mountains, and up as far as the true wilderness of Alaska there is a wide variety of geography and habitats to explore. This is my favorite part of the world to photograph.
